WORSHIP SERVICES
Rolling Oaks Christian Church
(The ROCC)
is a community people who believe
that Jesus, the Christ, is Lord. We seek to worship
the triune God with
joy and thanksgiving
in our hearts. For us,
worship is a scripturally-based activity of adoring our God
through praise, prayer, song, and proclamation. Our
order of worship follows a traditional pattern
that offers communion at both services every Sunday, but our spirit of worship is
contemporary.
The ROCC is committed to
reaching out and sharing the love of
Jesus with all people - new converts
to those who have known God for a
lifetime and can never get enough. With this goal in
mind, we offer innovative and engaging
worship in two venues - contemporary and
traditional.
The Contemporary Service
(begins at 8:45 am)
emphasizes contemporary
praise and worship music
in an atmosphere of warmth and friendship.
We use multimedia and overhead
projection to enhance the worship experience. We serve
Communion by Intinction*
to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ.
*Intinction
means that we offer the bread and the cup at the same time.
As each person receives communion, they first take a piece
of bread, dip it into the cup, and then eat it.
The Traditional Service
begins at 11:15 a.m.
and features a more formal style of worship.
Communion is
served each Sunday by passing around a
tray of the communion elements (bread and cup).
GLUTEN-FREE,
WHEAT-FREE, AND ALCOHOL-FREE COMMUNION
Our Lord spent a great deal of His ministry healing the
sick. He also asked us to remember Him through the act
of communion. It is our intent that no person should
be unable to share in communion because he or she is unable
to tolerate gluten, wheat, or alcohol. To this end ...
We offer a gluten-free
and wheat-free cracker
in addition to the loaf, and our cup is
alcohol-free.
